Job Description

Our Client are a Financial Services Company operating in the Insurance space who deliver global business services to the Company’s subsidiary businesses throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East and Latin America. They are looking to attract an IT Auditor to be based in Dublin who will be responsible for conducting the cybersecurity and IT audits of the Company and its global non-life insurance subsidiaries. Reporting o the Head of Internal Audit you will work as part of the team to develop and execute an IT and cyber risk-based plan and manage stakeholders across the Group.  This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week office based.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

IT Audit Planning and Execution

  • Establish an IT auditing framework and service offering for the Company’s Clients.
  • Develop a comprehensive risk-based technology audit plan for the business and its international non-life insurance subsidiaries.
  • Conduct IT audits, review systems, applications and IT processes in accordance with IT/information security frameworks.
  • Identify IT risks and controls and issue findings & recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and report findings to auditees, senior management & Board audit committees
  • Agree and follow up on the implementation of findings and recommendations
  • Build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders across the Fairfax Group.

Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance Support

  • Provide support & insight to the governance functions on technical and IT related controls
  • Provide support to the Heads of Internal Audit, Risk Management & Compliance on Digital Operational Resilience (‘DORA’) implementation and reporting.
  • Provide insights on EU wide IT & technology related regulations coming into force e.g. the EU Artificial Intelligence Act.

Other Duties

  • Development of internal policies, procedures & process documents.
  • Mentoring of junior staff in the performance of their duties.
  • Providing occasional support to CISO.
  • Assistance with the selection and implementation of a Governance, Risk and Compliance (‘GRC’) system.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 4+ years experience in Financial Services or a Professional Services Organisation in a similar role
  • Strong commercial and business acumen.
  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to engage with stakeholders across a business
  • Professional certifications in IT/IT risk such as CISA and/or CIA would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and industry standards such as Digital Operational Resilience Act (‘DORA’), the Artificial Intelligence (‘AI’) Act, ISO 27001 standards and CIS controls.
  • High level of Microsoft Office skill sets, with a significant emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
