Due to winning several large tenders, they are looking for an experience project manager to join the team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Overall Safety, Quality and Delivery of the construction of the project and for the M&E works, including managing subcontractors, daily permits, chairing whiteboard meetings, allocation of material and labour and measuring progress against the schedule daily.
  • Manage the coordination of the Civil, Structural and Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical and Life Safety work packages.
  • Leading by example – sets, monitors, and enforces the standards of safety, and exemplary quality of work
  • Support the Construction Director to manage construction activities.
  • Assume a leadership on site with regard to the work being carried out and by following & implementing the site safety plan & rules
  • Ensure that employees have the relevant training and expertise to carry out their work safely and professionally.
  • Coordinate construction activities for designated area
  • Build relationships with trade teams to ensure cohesion
  • Conducting regular progress meetings to ensure the program is being adhered
  • Reporting any changes or variations
  • Assist in ensuring systems are handed over to the client
  • Always ensure that the work being carried out is efficient and in line with project scope.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Trade qualified, or qualified in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Practical experience with Procore
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, managing construction of projects from start to finish
  • A candidate who is well able to work on their own initiative, and take ownership for the full project delivery
