Procurement Specialist
Our client, a globally recognized leader in the textile industry, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team in Dublin. With ambitious growth plans, a market-leading brand, and a world-class product range, this company sells their products in over 70 countries and employs more than 500 people worldwide.
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, this role offers an opportunity to shape and enhance procurement strategies, will focus on optimizing supplier management, mitigating risks, standardizing procedures, and supporting the development of a robust supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the supplier qualification process in compliance with procurement policies and procedures
- Optimize supplier validation, engagement, onboarding, and management processes.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure contractual compliance.
- Lead quotation and tender processes, ensuring competitive and strategic procurement.
- Coordinate and drive contract negotiations with suppliers.
- Develop, analyze, and report on supplier management metrics at both detailed and management information (MI) levels.
- Maintain a centralized repository for key performance, contractual, and financial documentation.
- Implement innovative approaches to vendor and process risk identification and mitigation.
- Manage indirect material sourcing and procurement, ensuring accuracy and contract adherence.
- Conduct material and service analysis, validating activities and supporting variance reconciliation.
- Track procurement KPIs related to service and cost, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide ongoing support and updates to the Head of Supply Chain.
- Construct reports and dashboard views for senior management.
Key Requirements
- CIPS Qualification with 5-7 years of experience in procurement.
- Experience driving procurement model changes within supply chain management is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- High degree of numeracy with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
