Job Description
Our client is based in Dublin delivers shared services to subsidiary companies covering IT infrastructure, systems and business applications, group financial reporting and oversight, investment and reinsurance accounting, due diligence, integration of newly acquired companies and financial advisory and corporate governance consultancy. Their Dublin office has 65 people and this relatively low headcount ensures that they remain a supportive, collaborative, social environment with vast opportunities to make an impact on its operating companies.
They are headquartered in Toronto, Canada, and is primarily engaged in insurance and reinsurance. Containing over 40 companies, employing over 15,000 personnel and a gross turnover of US$28.9 billion in 2023.
Purpose of the position:
The completion of technical analysis, configuration and training activities for SunSystems program of improvements. across the following functional areas and modules which includes:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Fixed Assets
- Corporate Allocations
- Revaluations
- Transfer Desk
- Data interfacing
- Accounts Payable & Expenses
- Bank Reconciliations and other associated modules
Duties & Responsibilities:Â
- Review of existing processes which interact with SunSystems.
- Review of business requirements for modular areas to ensure the applications full capabilities
- are being utilised.
- Work with clients and the applications team to develop the functional specifications for customiations.
- Make recommendations on the business process to reduce manual touch points and increase automation.
- Configure the solution to meet business requirements.
- Redevelop Q&A XL reports to satisfy operational and regulatory needs.
- Define testing and acceptance criteria and test plans for each module.
- Complete system tests on upgraded module builds and customisation delivery.
- Provide QA sign off on all system testing.
- Provide training material and facilitate training to the business and client users.
- Maintain the process and procedure documentation suite.
- Work with clients to ensure recommended and agreed processes are adopted and adhered to.
Competencies:
- Deep technical functional knowledge of Infor’s SunSystems (5+ years’ experience)
- Q&A XL Report and data send configuration experience
- Experience of Transfer Desk and the Integration of associated modules to SunSystems
- Experience in application management, issue resolution, requirements gathering, functional specifications, testing, and product stabilisation
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance position is desirable
- Proficient in MS office and suite of applications
- Ability and knowledge of working in a customer focused shared service environment
- Problem solving ability to resolve Process inefficiencies & IT issues
- Ability to break down complex work projects & issues into discrete work tasks
- Flexibility to multi-task and prioritise issues & deliverables is essential
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Ability to work as part of an interactive, collaborative team as well as independently
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly & succinctly
- Ability to write business requirements, test plans & cases, training and user guides
- Fluent English both written and verbal
Other:
• Fixed term 12 Months contract, 5 days per week
• Current hybrid working model (mandatory attendance Tuesday to Wednesday in the office in central Dublin location). These dates may vary depending on business needs
