Our client is leading brand in the financial services industry and is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer with a passion for creating innovative digital experiences that engage
users. We believe that exceptional design is an integral part of every successful project, and we are looking for a talented UI/UX Designer that shares our vision. The successful candidate will initially focus on evolving our digital platform. This will provide the opportunity for a talented designer to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing area of our business.
Primary duties & Responsibilities:
This role is at the forefront in shaping the user experience and visual design of our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing interfaces that fulfill our users’ needs. We recognize individuals perform best when stimulated with personally engaging assignments. Successful candidates have the opportunity to engage with a broad range of exciting initiatives within our company. Understanding the problem statements, breaking these down into clear requirements and contributing options to the potential solution is central to this role and to achieve successful outcomes. Given the depth and diverse experience candidates will bring they will be required to understand and apply:
• User Analysis Methodology – be the expert on eliciting user requirements through research and analysis; transforming these into
design solutions
• UX Design, Strategy & Vision – understand the key role great design has on applications and user interaction. Leverage your
experience to conceive ideas and produce inspiring options for all our products
• Relationship Management – ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and capabilities, manage interactions to ensure we
achieve the best possible outcomes. Advocate for user-centric design principles within the organization.
• Innovative Mindset – creative thinking with strong ability to analyse findings or design problems and translate these into solutions.
• Technology – comfortable understanding and engaging with technology whether familiar or unfamiliar. It is important to
understand technology’s role for internal use cases and commercial opportunities.
• Quality & Delivery – hands on interest to ensure the final output meets the highest business value expectations.
Educational Standards Required:
A formal qualification to degree standard is preferable. But the successful candidate will have demonstratable experience, skillsets and a strong portfolio showcasing design skills and process available for review.
Essential Skills:
• Develop workflows, interactions flows/information architecture and navigational flows.
• Create user personas and journey maps
• Create site maps and other information architecture deliverables
• Exceptional graphic design skills with a strong sense of aesthetics
• Proficiency in design tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with others.
• Problem Solving – ability to research, digest information, transform abstract concepts and produce concrete solutions
• Attention to detail, a proactive approach in their work and to get things done
• Ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
Beneficial Skills & Experience:
• JIRA (beneficial)
• Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Exposure and understanding of the SDLC and agile methodologies
